The College of Education’s Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies is seeking a part-time position for a federally-funded study in youth with type 1 diabetes. The primary responsibility for this position will be supporting the investigators to coordinate the execution of day-to-day lab activities and overseeing the data collection and intervention delivery of fellow team members. The role will involve administrative duties, data collection, and intervention delivery in the context a clinical trial examining a behavioral intervention examining sleep and daily routines of the youth and their families. This individual will serve as the interventionist during in-clinic study visits and phone check ins for a new case approximately every other week, and carry a caseload of approximately six participants at a time. The administrative duties, lab-based data collection, and intervention sessions are typically during business hours or late afternoons, the evaluation visits in early evening, and the sleep studies are scheduled close to minor participants’ bedtimes. Therefore, the individual must be available during evenings/later hours and some weekends to accommodate participants’ schedules and be able to communicate with participants at their convenience. Some travel required. Possibility of transitioning to full-time depending on project needs and funds.
