The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions beginning August, 2022 to teach in the Health Service Psychology PsyD (combined Clinical and School Psychology) program and the Clinical Psychology Master’s Program.

Duties:

  • Teaching (fall and spring) as well as student advising and participation on college, program and departmental committees.
  • One position will be responsible for supervising students in the clinic and classroom.
  • Maintain a productive research program with doctoral student involvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. Doctorate in school or clinical psychology (or combined program) from an APA-accredited program.
  2. Psychology licensure (Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) or license-eligibility.

Desired:

  • Evidence of or potential for teaching excellence across a wide range of psychology courses, particularly with emphases related to Multicultural Competence, Supervision, and/or Pediatric Psychology.
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish).

The Health Service Psychology and Clinical Psychology programs are housed within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. UHCL is currently a bachelors and masters granting university with select doctoral programs. Located adjacent to the NASA-Johnson Space Center, the UHCL campus is set within the scenic Armand Bayou Nature Preserve, thirty minutes from both downtown Houston and Galveston Island.
