The Department of Psychological Science at Weber State University is seeking candidates for an assistant professor of Clinical/Counseling Psychology to begin in July 2022.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and interest to teach core and elective courses in the psychology curriculum (i.e., Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Human Relationships, Abnormal Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, and Theories of Personality).
Additionally, preference will be given to candidates with licensure or ability to attain licensure in Utah and who are committed to teaching excellence, engaging undergraduates in research and practicum experiences, engaging with the university and local community, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. We desire candidates from underrepresented groups and who have experience working with diverse student and community populations.
Candidates who have completed all the requirements for and earned their Ph.D. in clinical, counseling, or school psychology by the appointment date will be given preference, but strong ABDs will be considered. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.
Weber State University is located in Ogden, Utah, 35 miles north of Salt Lake City, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. The area is rich in year-round outdoor recreational activities, with Snowbasin (Olympic skiing venue) less than 20 minutes away.
