We are looking to hire a Senior Research Associate in the Ohio University Center for Intervention Research in Schools (CIRS)

Associates can work from our offices at the main campus in Athens, Ohio or our CIRS offices in Columbus with flexibility for some remote work.

Steven W. Evans, Ph.D., Co-Director of the Center for Intervention Research in Schools (www.oucirs.org) invites individuals with experience working with teachers and school mental health professionals to support their use of school-based services to apply for the position.

The Senior Research Associate will play a leadership role in a project funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) evaluating the Beacon system which is designed to help educators and school mental health professionals provide tier 2 and tier 3 best practices for students with emotional and behavior problems in K to 12 schools.

Job duties include developing partnerships with school personnel and training those professionals in how to use Beacon and how to effectively integrate it into the school procedures for helping and tracking students. The Associate will also assist the team with the refinement of the Beacon system and the pilot studies being conducted.

Those interested in applying should have, at a minimum, a master’s degree in clinical, educational, or developmental psychology, school psychology, education, social work, counseling or related discipline and a year of work related experience by the position start date. The projected start date for this position is April 1. Travel reimbursement to schools provided in accordance with Ohio University policy. Salary is commensurate with experience.
