The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor faculty position in the School Psychology Department. Successful applicants will have specialized knowledge in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and appropriate teaching and professional practice experience. Applicants will also show the capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of GSAPP and the professional community.
GSAPP’s School Psychology Department has an APA-accredited and NASP-approved doctoral program in school psychology (Psy.D.), and a Master’s Degree and Certificate in applied psychology in MTSS. The most competitive candidates will be able to instruct graduate courses in MTSS (e.g., screening, progress monitoring, intervention, and systems change) and/or doctoral courses in assessment (e.g., cognitive, learning disabilities, social/emotional/behavioral). The candidate will also lead the coordination and growth of the new MTSS Master’s Degree and Certificate. Responsibilities include teaching, program development, dissertation committee membership, and service (e.g., committees, admissions, student reviews).

The minimum qualifications to be considered for this position include a doctoral degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, a related field, or enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program at the time of application. It is preferable that the applicant has their school psychology certification and/or is licensed or license-eligible as a practicing psychologist.
