The Lab School of Washington is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to lead The Reservoir Psychology & Wellness Group, Lab’s in-house team of psychologists and social workers. This position provides an opportunity for the qualified applicant to serve as a thought leader in the field of learning differences for both Lab School and the wider community.
The Lab School of Washington is an independent, progressive, arts-based school that serves students in grades 1 through 12 with diagnosed language-based learning differences on two campuses in Northwest Washington, DC. Job responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership to Lab School’s team of psychologists and social workers
- Providing clinical and administrative supervision and mentorship
- Contributing to the school leadership team, as well as the leadership of The Reservoir Group, Lab’s interdisciplinary related services group
- Supporting the school’s efforts in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Providing support and education to the Lab School parent community
- Providing outreach and professional development to the wider DC community
- Conducting and supervising psychoeducational evaluations
- Consulting with and providing professional development to teachers and other clinical service providers
Ideal candidates:
- 5+ years of clinical and leadership experience
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
- Skill in conducting psychotherapy and psychoeducational assessment
- Exceptional leadership and supervision skills
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
- Interest in working with a committed and dynamic leadership team
