The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University– New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor faculty position in the School Psychology Department. This faculty member will provide oversight to the applied practicum placements for school psychology doctoral students, which includes the development of a network of placements in schools throughout the region. They will also support students in their application for externships in clinical settings and liaise with site supervisors. Teaching responsibilities include supervision courses and other courses depending on the candidate’s expertise and the department’s needs. Competitive candidates will demonstrate appropriate graduate-level teaching and professional practice experience, excellence in teaching, and specialized knowledge in school psychology. In addition, they should be knowledgeable about certification and licensure requirements. Applicants will also show the capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of GSAPP and the professional community.

The minimum qualifications to be considered for this position include a doctoral degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or enrollment in an APA- accredited doctoral program at the time of application. It is required that the applicant is licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist and has a school psychology certification. Preferable is at least two-years experience in a supervisory role.
