Dr. Colleen Halliday is hiring a full-time research assistant to work on three funded research school-based randomized trials on which she is PI/co-PI. These projects are funded by the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities, the William T. Grant foundation, and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The position is 100% remote at the Medical University of South Carolina. All three studies involve interventions targeting schools to reduce racial/ethnic disparities in mental health and/or behavior outcomes.

The research assistant would work directly with Dr. Halliday, other project investigators, and school personnel on tasks related to data, manuscripts, administration, and overall project implementation. Opportunities for authorship on scientific presentations and publications exist, depending on the expertise and interests of the candidate filling the position.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, previous experience using SPSS or other statistical software, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently is a must. Experience with African American and/or Latinx populations is preferred.
