We are seeking applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position in the Department of Educational Psychology’s Counseling and School Psychology Clinic at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The postdoctoral fellow will have an opportunity to gain valuable supervised clinical and supervision experience and accrue substantial hours towards licensure in our training clinic. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to provide specialized services to support the mental health needs of clients and families in rural communities. Primary activities will include providing direct clinical work (therapy and assessment services) and facilitating outreach services (e.g., workshops, trainings). Additionally, the postdoctoral fellow will provide supervision to graduate student trainees in treatment activities with children, adolescents, and adults. Opportunities for involvement in teaching and/or research may also be available, depending on the interests of the postdoctoral fellow.

It is anticipated that the postdoctoral fellow will maintain a caseload of 20-24 clients each week and a supervisory load of 3-6 supervisees during the academic year. The postdoctoral fellow will coordinate and meet for weekly supervision with the Clinic Director.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must demonstrate completion of all professional doctoral degree requirements from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship.
  • All applicants must be eligible to obtain a provisionally licensed psychologist license in the state of Nebraska by the start date of the position.
  • Applicants must have a driver’s license and the ability to travel to community sites for any outreach and clinical activities that occur outside of the clinic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with rural populations and/or growing up or having lived in a rural community.
