The Department of Psychology and Sociology, at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall of 2023. We will give priority to candidates with research and clinical interests in pediatric, child, or adolescent psychology and with a specialization in clinical, counseling, or school psychology. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels that are both consistent with department needs and are in their area of specialization.
TAMU-CC is an R2 University and candidates are expected to have an active research program. This program will include mentoring student research and supervising master’s thesis students in our Clinical Psychology MA program. The department has an increasing focus on research and seeks candidates interested in pursuing external funding. Individuals considered for this position will also be expected to provide clinical supervision to master’s level students, and actively engage in service to the department, college, university, and profession.
