APA’s Committee on Early Career Psychologists (CECP) with the funding support of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists is pleased to announce the call for applications for the APA Committee on Early Career Psychologists/National Register of Health Service Psychologists Convention Travel Grant. This grant supports the professional development and attendance of early career psychologists at APA Convention in Washington, DC, August 3-5.

This year, awardees will be reimbursed $340 for their travel expenses to APA Convention.

Special consideration will be given to early career psychologists who have not previously attended an APA convention.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA  

  • Current dues-paid member of APA
  • Received a doctorate in psychology within the last 10 years

HOW TO APPLY  

Applicants will need to address the following 3 sections below (150 word maximum per section):

1.     Benefits to attending APA 2023

o    What are your goals for attending APA 2023?

o    How will attending convention enhance your professional career moving forward?

    1. Significant leadership positions, academic, and/or professional achievements (informal and/or formal)
    2. Any additional diversity, multicultural, or adverse life events for CECP to consider (if applicable)
