The faculty member will be expected to teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise school psychology graduate practicum students and/or internship students and be involved with the on-campus psychoeducational clinic. Undergraduate teaching might include Developmental Psychology, Exceptional Children, Behavior Modification, or other relevant coursework. Graduate teaching might include consultation, cognitive/academic assessment, child psychopathology, interventions courses, and/or other courses that match the applicant’s areas of specialization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MA/MS or SSP in School Psychology (or related field) by date of appointment. The successful candidate should be eligible to apply for Illinois licensure as a school psychologist (Professional Educator License School Support Personnel). Strong potential for excellence in teaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: College teaching and experience as a school psychologist. Strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate should also be willing and able to work collaboratively within a relatively small graduate program and within the larger psychology department. The candidate should possess a degree from a NASP approved training program.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be “in hand” at the time of appointment.
