The New Mexico State University Department of Counseling & Educational Psychology is seeking a full-time, 9-month, assistant professor in the area of school psychology that will assist in achieving the department’s mission of teaching, research, and service. New Mexico State University (NMSU), the state’s Land Grant University, is nestled between the Organ Mountains and the Mesilla Valley in sunny Las Cruces. The mission of the Counseling and Educational Psychology (CEP) Department is to promote social justice/advocacy through the cultivation and preparation of professionals in school and mental health counseling, school psychology, counseling psychology, and medical psychology.

Our programs emphasize ethical responsibility and the development of multicultural competencies to work effectively with diverse populations and systems. We create collaborative relationships with educational, health/mental health, and community settings to reduce health and educational disparities, conduct relevant high-quality research, and nurture active learners and critical thinkers.
