The University of Cincinnati School Psychology Program is excited to announce our search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of School Psychology! Our excellent EdS and PhD Programs are NASP-approved, and our PhD Program holds accreditation from the APA. The Programs also implement a course sequence verified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Essential Functions
- Conducting scholarly research in school psychology, publishing, and grant writing and/or pursuit of external funding
- Teaching graduate (specialist and doctoral) coursework in school psychology and behavior analysis
- Supervising field experiences aligned with the Program’s behavioral, scientist-practitioner, intervention-oriented approach to practice
- Advising graduate students, guiding dissertation research based on a behavior-analytic approach, and serving on doctoral committees
- Collaborating with area schools/agencies.
- Program development within School Psychology
- Collaborating with other programs as well as serving on Program, School, College and University committees
- The successful applicant will be expected to further the Program and University’s excellence in research (including external funding, publishing, presenting) and teaching.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment candidates must have:
- Earned Doctorate in School Psychology from a NASP-approved and APA-accredited program.
- Record of behaviorally-oriented research in school psychology including at least 2 peer-reviewed publications and at least one other work in progress.
- Experience teaching at least one graduate course in school psychology or behavior analysis, including as a teaching assistant.

About the Department and Program
Based on the Carnegie Foundation Classification System, The University of Cincinnati (www.uc.edu) is a Doctoral Granting Research University with very high research activity (RU/VH). Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, it is part of Ohio’s higher education system with approximately 48,000 students in attendance. The School Psychology Program is located within the School of Human Services in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services. The School also includes undergraduate and graduate programs in Behavior Analysis, Counseling, Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Education, Substance Abuse Counseling, and Sport Administration. The School is a leader in online course and program development, and there are many active collaborative activities across programs and with community partners.
