June 17 | 4-5pm ET
You are invited to join a discussion forum hosted by the members of APA’s Committee on Early Career Psychologists (CECP)! This webinar’s main goal is to provide a space to openly discuss common challenges that early career psychologists often are left to navigate independently. Discussion will center around a select number of topics that may have been overlooked in graduate school yet remain essential to a career as a psychologist. Each member of CECP will discuss a chosen topic they wish they had learned in graduate school upon which attendees will have the opportunity to engage in breakout discussions with the committee and other attendees to share their experiences, gather tips, further expand knowledge, and ask questions.
Topics that will be discussed:
- Work Life Balance
- APA Leadership
- Early Career Habits
- Mentorship & Networking
- Non-traditional positions
- Recognizing your soft skills
- Negotiating your first position and navigating the professional world
- Administration & Ethics
