The 2024 APA Apportionment ballot will be sent electronically on Friday, November 1, 2024. You should receive a message from APA to verify the accuracy of your e-mail address to ensure electronic delivery.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, you will receive a second email with election instructions and a link for voting online. The voting period will be from November 1 to December 16, 2024. The voting site will close at 11:59 p.m. EST, December 16, 2024.

Each voting member of APA receives a ballot with 10 votes to distribute among eligible constituencies—divisions and state provincial and territorial associations (SPTAs)—according to their interests. The total number of seats on the APA Council of Representatives for divisions and state/provincial/territorial psychological associations on Council is 162. These are divided into two pools, one for divisions and one for SPTAs. The percentage of the total 162 seats that each pool receives is determined by the percentage of total apportionment votes each pool receives.

We encourage you to allocate ALL 10 of your votes to DIVISION 16 to maintain and strengthen our representation on APA Council.  This is critical for us to have a place at the table for APA policy.   Division 16 currently has 3 Council representatives.
