Call for SASP Executive Board Nominations

The Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) is calling for nominations for the 2024 Executive Board. Are you a Ph.D., Psy.D., EdS, or MA student interested in opportunities to advocate for school psychology students around the country? Or perhaps you are looking to develop your professional skills and network with students and faculty from other institutions. We are looking to fill the following positions and we hope you will consider applying:

  • President-Elect (3-year commitment)
  • Communications Liaison (2-year commitment)
  • Student & Chapter Relations Chair-Elect (2-year commitment)
  • Diversity Affairs Chair-Elect (2-year commitment)
  • Editor-Elect (2-year commitment)
  • Convention Chair-Elect (2-year commitment)

Students enrolled in a school psychology graduate program are welcome and encouraged to self-nominate. All nominated individuals will need to complete a brief google form with the following information:

  • University name, email address, and current program
  • 250-word candidate statement
  • Three bullet point goals from the nominee for the upcoming year

Important Dates

  • September 1st, 2024 – Nominations open
  • October 13, 2024 – Nominations close @ 9pm CST/10pm ET. Election nomination google form due.
  • October 18, 2024 – Voting Opens. Candidate statements released to members via SASP Listserv
  • November 17, 2024 – Voting Closes @ 11:59pm (CST)
  • November 27, 2024 – Election Results Announced
  • December 2024 – Board Meeting with Incoming & Outgoing Officers
  • January 2025 – Virtual Retreat

All elected Executive Board members are required to attend a monthly board meeting and are encouraged to attend both the American Psychological Association and National Association of School Psychologists annual conferences.
