The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor faculty position in the School Psychology Department. This faculty member will oversee the practicum and externship placements network for our Psy.D. school psychology doctoral students. This includes developing and maintaining of a network of placements throughout the region and supporting students in applying to these placements in school and clinical settings. They will also liaise with site supervisors and regional consortia and collaborate with the Program Director in the Psy.D. School Psychology program regarding field-based experiences and opportunities. Teaching responsibilities include supervision courses and other courses depending on the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. Competitive candidates will demonstrate related graduate-level teaching and professional practice experience, excellence in teaching, and specialized knowledge in school psychology. In addition, they should be knowledgeable about certification and licensure requirements. Applicants will also show the capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of GSAPP and the professional community. The minimum qualifications to be considered for this position include a doctoral degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program at the time of application. It is required that the applicant is licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New Jersey and has school psychology certification. At least two years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
