In collaboration with the Advancing a Critical Health Service Psychology series (co-sponsored by Divisions 17, 16, and 12), we are eager to announce an upcoming webinar: Everyday Advocacy: How to Engage Decisionmakers in the Current Policy Landscape. The live webinar will be April 15th from 1pm to 3pm ET and will also be recorded. We plan for this to be the first in a series of skills-based advocacy trainings.
Join Kenneth Polischuk and Stefanie Reeves from the American Psychological Association, doctoral student M Pease (University of Maryland) who is also a member of the APA Advocacy Coordinating Committee, Dr. Lewis, and me for this training based on APA’s federal advocacy training, expanded to state-level and other forms of advocacy and tailored for the current times. This is open to students as well as professionals, and we strongly encourage you to consider attending and to share this information widely! Getting started in advocacy can feel daunting; we hope this webinar will demystify policy advocacy and help attendees identify how they might get involved.
