An important priority of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Committee on Early Career Psychologists (CECP) is to elevate the visibility of ECPs and their work. To promote this priority, the committee is seeking applications for ECPs who are doing tremendous work within the field of psychology to build ECP presence on various media platforms offered at APA.
CECP invites submissions from ECPs who have expertise in the following topics (but not limited to):
- Adolescent/Children’s Mental Health
- Burnout (e.g., Health care providers, psychological impact of COVID on mental health, connection to life/job changes)
- Climate Change
- Dis/Misinformation
- Racism
- Racial Trauma
- Social Media: Impact on children’s mental health and development
- Adapting to a changing work environment
- Destigmatizing mental health in the workplace
- Any additional specialty/niche topics
Eligibility Criteria:
- Have received a doctorate in psychology within the last 10 years
Submission Materials:
- Please submit the following webpage links:
- 2 published research papers or a webpage listing your research
- An example of a past media or public speaking engagement
- An online biography or LinkedIn page
