The Department of Applied Psychology within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University invites applicants for two faculty positions (tenure-track or potential tenure on entry) at the Associate/Full Professor rank beginning September 2018. Both successful candidates will be expected to enhance the diverse research portfolio of the department, to maintain licensure and/or certification (if applicable), and to contribute to the continued growth of our programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, Counseling Psychology, and School Psychology. It is anticipated that one of the candidates will directly support the School Psychology programs at the masters and doctoral levels. For these positions, the department values faculty with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: a) academic assessment and/or intervention, b) clinical assessment, or c) interventions to serve vulnerable and underserved populations including (but not limited to) individuals with developmental disabilities, or those with addiction-related or stigmatizing conditions.
Responsibilities include: a) mentoring students at all levels; b) leading an active line of funded research; c) teaching graduate, and potentially undergraduate, courses in the department; and d) providing service within the department, college and university.
Interdisciplinary appointments and highly competitive start-up packages are available to qualified applicants. Rank, tenure, and salary will be commensurate with education, training, and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Minimum qualifications include: a) earned doctorate in psychology or a closely related field; b) a record of research productivity and external funding; and c) record of teaching excellence and documentation of teaching effectiveness.
